What research for Gestalt therapy?
Based on an article I wrote in the BGJ, I will expose how, in view of:
• the evolution of the regulatory context
• and the appearance of the contextual model resulting from the evolution of research in psychotherapy
the future of GT may oscillates between marginalisation and dissolution into an integrative current. I argue that both the values inspiring the GT posture and the mode of intervention based on the therapists affective resonance are worth defending and even disseminating more widely than today. Then I will draw the outlines of a Gestalt research that allows Gestalt therapy to be legitimised and to continue to develop as an original and innovative modality.
